R10 Coach's Review - Robina Vs Park Ridge (Seniors)

Written on the 16 June 2018

It was always going to be a big ask coming up against Park Ridge who had only lost 1 game to date and were sitting pretty in second place on the ladder but it was a credit to our playing group that the Pirates would have left feeling extremely lucky to get the four points and were made to work a lot harder than they expected.

Our boys started slow with PR dominating the play for the first 15 minutes of the game but due to our commitment they weren't able to capitalise on the scoreboard and we went in leading at quarter time. The game was going back and forth all day until PR broke away early in the 4th and opened up a lead of 31 points. In previous weeks this would have turned into a big loss but we dug deep and got ourselves back into the game and missed opportunities probably cost us the win. Troy Sutherland was superb up forward as were our three onballers Boeh, Manno & Benny while it was nice to have A Googs back in the side and adding a lot of class to our backline.

It will be a big game this week and a huge opportunity to get back on the winners list
