R11 Coach's Review - Victoria Point Vs Robina (Seniors)

It wasn't the start we were looking for at Redland Bay on the week end but what was to follow was nothing short of a dominant performance. Victoria Point jumped us early and our boys seemed more focused on what they couldn't control and it felt this game could get away from us very quickly. Quarter time couldn't come around quick enough and luckily we were only down by 2 goals.

The second qtr was a lot more even and we were able to peg them back and go in at the half all tied. We were showing signs that our ball movement and pace could break the game open and at the start of the second half we did just that. Caleb dominated all day in the ruck and our mids didn't let him down on the ground, we were able to get on top all over the ground and the game was played on our terms for the whole second half. It was a game we had been looking for where everything came together and we had a really solid win against a top 5 side. In the end we ran away 13 goal winners and we continued our good run of kicking high scores. Our mids were excellent all day and were able to give our forwards perfect service and the movement of the ball from back to forward meant there was lots of space to work in through our forward 50.

Both Googs were solid, Caleb dominated the ruck and around the ground, Boeh, Manno and Benny were on top most of the day in the middle and the backs worked their way into the game however wouldn't have seen much of the ball in the second half. A great effort by the boys and also considering we had only one on the bench after half time
