2017 Robina Roos Ball

Join us for a night of entertainment at the Watermark Hotel & Spa Gold Coast. This event is always an enjoyable evening with plenty of laughs, fine dining, drinks and entertainment. The 2017 Robina Roos Ball looks set to be the best yet with a massive line up of entertainment, including:

  • AIMZ - Unearthed on Triple J earlier this year, Amy Pervan (AIMZ) is an up-and-coming Singer/Songwriter based on the Gold Coast. Both vocally and instrumentally talented, she combines Pop and Dance to deliver some of the best sounds you will hear. We can't wait to welcome Amy to the Watermark Hotel and listen to what she has to offer.

  • Jonathan Atherton -  Jonathan Atherton has long been one of Australia's best comics, and he's always had an internationalist aspect to his material. Residing in Singapore for the past ten years, the dedicated traveller is fluent in at least 10 languages, and has worked and studied in most parts of the world. Jonathan has an enormous list of achievements including hosting the Lonely Planet series on television, acting in Warner Roadshow productions, and has performed for innumerable companies as a guest comedian. Jonathan has also performed voiceover work for many major companies, and has been a guest announcer on Triple J, and B105 in Brisbane. A veteran of comedy, his style is clever and adaptable, and he is an expert at reading an audience, then bringing them together. Despite his intellectual bent, Jonathan is able to converse with any crowd confidently, and is always a pleasure to watch.

  • Anne Howe - Anne Howe is a brutally funny British comedian and Queensland favourite whose stage show will leave you reeling with laughter.

Not afraid to get stuck in, she's a little shocking, naughty, crass, and Anne Howe is one of the best, and we are thrilled to have her host!

  • Paul McMahon - Hailing from the Byron Bay Shire, Paul Mcmahon finds laughter through an exposition on the hypocrisy of hippies, the faults with our food and shines a lazy light of truth on all that we have to put up with in our floundering first world. He's an insightful and hilarious act who lets a tight weave of comedic jabs fly through every microphone.

R11 Coach's Review - Victoria Point Vs Robina (Seniors)

It wasn't the start we were looking for at Redland Bay on the week end but what was to follow was nothing short of a dominant performance. Victoria Point jumped us early and our boys seemed more focused on what they couldn't control and it felt this game could get away from us very quickly. Quarter time couldn't come around quick ...

R10 Coach's Review - Robina Vs Park Ridge (Seniors)

It was always going to be a big ask coming up against Park Ridge who had only lost 1 game to date and were sitting pretty in second place on the ladder but it was a credit to our playing group that the Pirates would have left feeling extremely lucky to get the four points and were made to work a lot harder than they expected. Our boys sta...
